The Mazda2 is bold and stylish and with new colours and features and refreshed design, it’s a thrill you’ll fin
d hard to resist. We've refreshed and enhanced further the qualities that gave the original model its unique personality.
Outside, the bold and sophisticated exterior is even more alluring, with new colours, wheels, lights and fog lights. And the new blacked-out C-pillar renders the side-on view sportier still.
Inside, the theme of elegant evolution continues. New interior colours and fabrics enhance the cabin ambience, and new features - including an audio/CD system
The Mazda2 is fun to drive, and it's safe too. Beneath your feet, all three 16-valve petrol engines are matched to a precise shifting five-speed manual transmission, making the new Mazda2 sporty and fun. There's also a new 1.4-litre common-rail turbo diesel engine. Lively, smooth and frugal on fuel, it's now Euro Stage IV compliant and even more affordable to run.
There's an amazing 1,032mm of front headroom and 980mm of rear headroom. Drivers will easily find an ideal position with standard driver's seat and steering wheel height adjustment. With specially developed frames on both the front and rear seats, you and your passengers will enjoy improved postural support.
The low, flat load floor is just like a small estate car and certain models even feature a front passenger seat that folds flat for easy transportation of longer items. With loads of inspired storage features, such as the double glove box, lidded storage tray and cup holders, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable journey.
The Mazda2 offers exceptional safety standards. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) are all fitted as standard on Mazda2. As well as this comprehensive range of active safety equipment, there's excellent protection in the event of an accident. Mazda's Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS), with its 'Triple H' body structure, provides a high level of protection, and the Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) coordinates the safety equipment.
Passive safety features include driver and front passenger airbags, three-point seat belts with pretensioners and load-limiters in the front, and impact absorbing materials in the B-pillars and roof lining. |
